Product: HP Notebook 15.6

When Laptop boots up it gets stuck in the HP logo loop for about 30 seconds then the screen becomes covered in a blend of colors similar to this (https://www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/comments/14abj9f/my_pc_screen_is_purplegreen/) The OS is unknown (but it was purchased around 2018 so should be Windows 10). When trying to boot up through BIOS with restart F10 spam it just says "F10... BIOS Setup Options"  with no options on a black screen and doesn't let me input anything. I attempted to take some advice from this board earlier and remove the hard drive and start it up like that but the PC would turn on and the screen would be backlit and remain blank. A 9-year-old was the previous owner and I know they downloaded some suspicious things previously and clicked some ill-advised ads. Just looking for any kind of answer as to what went wrong hopefully anyone can help.

If this is the attempting to start this device for the first time after purchase. I would run the Diagnostics routine to find out just what is good or not.

To run the Diagnostics, start tapping the Esc key and then start the PC.  Keep tapping Esc until a popup menu appears.  Then pick F2 and run the Diagnostics.  Report back with the results.

Also post the complete model number of the PC for help on what to do next.

This laptop was used for about a year and a half for online school in 2021 I wouldn't doubt there were viruses on it. I attempted running diagnostics and get stuck at a screen that prompts "Esc... Pause Startup " on a black screen and nothing else while not letting me type anything or perform any actions. Full model number is 15-bw071nr

If it will not run the Diagnostics routine using the method I described above, then I  lost as to how you will be able to do anything with it.

Even it it has virus or malware, you should be able to use the method I described to get into the Diagnostics routine.
