Hi:

Go to the Windows control panel>Programs>Uninstall a program.

Find the HP Support Assistant software listed there, click on it, and at the top of the window, select Uninstall.

Hi dear Paul

it's too simple and I already tried it.

In the control panel I find only HP Support solutions framework and when I try to uninstall it the answer message is : this programm is needed for HP SA which is not available in the control panel list.

Thank you

You're very welcome.

There must be an issue with your PC, because the instructions I gave you are right from the link below...see figure 5.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to help you any further with why you can't uninstall the HPSA, because I have no idea as to why the HPSA program isn't listed where it is supposed to be.

@oraw

Try / Consider

Install the latest HP Support Assistant

After the software is installed,

Restart the computer and log in

Next, try uninstalling it.

Control Panel > icon view > Programs and Features >

Scroll down, find, Uninstall the HP Support Assistant

After the uninstall is completed, Restart the computer and log in

NOTE:

When / If asked whether you want to save any of the presets / personal HPSA information, respond to have any (personal) data associated with the program removed along with the HPSA software.

I don't understand why they make it so difficult to uninstall the assistant program: I followed your suggestion but in vain, eventually I got into the HP folders and I erase them.

Thank you anyway
