Once the computer times out, goes to sleep/hibernate, I should be able to tap any key to get it awake. No matter what I do it ignores me and I have to hit the on off button to get it's attention. The husband is not knowledgeable to figure it out, so I have to do it every single day. I have looked for answers and nothing. I tried to call the help number to HP but they started talking to me about a virus. I JUST got the computer 4 days ago, and this happened since hour 1.

I think I figured this out, I have an older wireless mouse 2006 installed. I undid the wake up on the mouse and left it blank. Then just had the keyboard set up to wake it up. when I put it to sleep the light blinked instead of being a sold light on the computer. Now when I click on any key on the keyboard I wait about 5 sec and the log in screen comes up. Hope that was the answer.
