Pavilion 23all in one
Microsoft Windows 8 (32-bit)

[serial number removed]

I installed a new hard drive, tried to install windows 8 from a thumb drive. I get to the boot menu and it shows my thumb drive, when I select it , it goes back to the original screen. Why won’t it start downloading?

Can you test the Thumb Drive on another computer???

 

Just see if it will boot and start the install.

Checked thumb drive on another computer and it said there were errors. I selected auto repair, corrected the errors, but still won’t download.

Sounds like the T/D is corrupt.

 

Did you get the T/D from HP???
