Hi @Dave867,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be happy to help you!
It sounds like you're dealing with a persistent and frustrating issue with your HP Pavilion All-in-One 24-k0xxx. The fact that you've already tried replacing the SSD and RAM suggests the problem might be related to something else, possibly a software or hardware component. Here’s a comprehensive approach to troubleshooting the blue screen issues:
1. Identify the Blue Screen Error Code
- When the blue screen appears, it usually displays a specific error code (e.g., "IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL," "MEMORY_MANAGEMENT," etc.).
- Take note of this error code as it can give clues about what's causing the issue. If the error code flashes by too quickly, you can retrieve it from the Event Viewer:
- Open the Event Viewer (search for it in the Start menu).
- Navigate to Windows Logs > System.
- Look for any critical errors that coincide with the blue screen events.
2. Check for Driver Issues
- Outdated or incompatible drivers are a common cause of blue screen errors.
- Update all your drivers, especially for the graphics card, chipset, and network adapter:
- You can use Windows Update or go directly to the HP website ( or the specific hardware vendors) to download the latest drivers.
- You can also use Device Manager to check for any driver issues:
- Right-click on the Start button and select Device Manager.
- Look for any devices with a yellow exclamation mark, indicating a driver issue.
3. Check for Windows Updates
- Ensure your Windows OS is up to date, as updates can fix bugs that cause blue screens.
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and check for updates.
4. Run Hardware Diagnostics
- Since you've already replaced the SSD and RAM, it might be worth checking other components, such as the CPU and motherboard, using built-in diagnostics tools:
- Restart your PC and press F2 during boot to enter HP Hardware Diagnostics.
- Run the extensive system tests to check for any hardware failures.
5. Check System Files
- Corrupted system files can cause instability and blue screen errors. Run the System File Checker (SFC) and the Deployment Imaging Service and Management Tool (DISM) to repair them:
- Open Command Prompt as an administrator.
- Run the following commands:
- sfc /scannow - This will check and attempt to repair any corrupted system files.
- DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth - This will check and repair the Windows image
Please find the remaining steps in the next post.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance

Hi @Dave867,
Please find the remaining steps below.
6. Disable Overclocking (if applicable)
- If you have overclocked your CPU, GPU, or RAM, revert the settings to default. Overclocking can lead to instability and blue screen errors, especially if the system is not properly cooled or if the overclocking settings are too aggressive.
7. Check for Malware
- Malware can cause system instability and blue screens. Run a full system scan using Windows Defender or another trusted antivirus software to ensure your system is clean.
8. Perform a Clean Boot
- A clean boot can help you determine if a third-party application is causing the blue screen errors:
- Open System Configuration (msconfig).
- Under the Services tab, check Hide all Microsoft services and then click Disable all.
- Go to the Startup tab and click Open Task Manager. Disable all startup items.
- Restart your computer and see if the issue persists.
9. Consider a Windows Reinstallation
- If all else fails, consider reinstalling Windows. This will remove any software-related causes of blue screen errors.
- Before doing this, make sure to back up all important data.
10. Check for BIOS Updates
- Occasionally, BIOS updates can resolve compatibility or stability issues. Check the HP support website for any available BIOS updates for your specific model.
If these steps don't resolve the issue, it may be a deeper hardware problem, such as a faulty motherboard or GPU. In that case, contact HP phone support or take the PC to the nearest service center.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
