Hp pavilion p7-1000 desktop pc does not Boot up.  The power LED light does not come on. The fans are on and the LED on the mother board is steady on.  The Power Supply LED is steady on.  All of the above is valid whether or not a monitor is connected, hard drive, printer or any other internal or external device.

After disconnecting the power to the motherboard and all internal devices, the Power Supply is showing a steady LED light.

Hi,

A p7-1000 series PC has about 28 different product numbers and seven different motherboard (MB) options. Your PC could be up to eight years old.

Reducing the PC to a minimum configuration was a good thing to do.

I would look at the power supply first and then verify the MB is okay. Try a new CR2032 MB battery. A bad power switch can also cause this problem.

Regards
