My new 5 day old desktop won’t power on. 
no fan no lights nothing 

move volt tested all plugs and cable to the back of desktop and swapped cables from another hp desktop. So have ruled out any cable related issue

 

any tricks, known issues or is it a case of warranty and losing 2 weeks waiting for a new one and time lost setting up new desktops

Without being able to power it on, you can't run any diagnostics to find out the underlying issues.  And we have no way of remoting into your desktop from here, so we can not help.

 

I wish we could help you on this but we here are unable to assist you in this issue.


We are just a Community Support forum staffed by part-time volunteers not affiliated with HP.


We have no access to HP functional areas and can not help you with issues related to those.


These issues include:
