Was your laptop supplied to you by your employer?  If so, they may have an "administrator" of all their corporate computers. If you purchased your computer, you are its administrator.

Is it a password that you enter as soon as you power-on your laptop?

Or, is it your "Windows login" password?

When you login to Windows 10, do you enter the password for your Microsoft Account, or a password that is "local" to your computer?

If the former, access http://login.live.com and use that page to reset the password for your Microsoft Acccount.

If the latter, Google-search for "Nordahl offline password".  This is software that helps you change the password for a "local" ID.
