I switched off my desktop during bios update and not turning on at all

Last time I did a BIOS update, I remember there was some warning about NOT doing exactly what you did -- as that basically trashes the laptop! 

 

You can try doing a BIOS recovery -- but if that does not work, you are out of luck:  HP Notebook PCs - Restoring the BIOS | HP® Customer Support
