@Gazular_326 -- your computer's power-supply should supply different voltages to different components, e.g., 1.35 to 1.5 volts to the RAM, and 5 volts to the USB ports. So, it may have partially failed, giving power only to the fans & the lamps. Or, it could be that the video-card has failed. Or, it could be the disk-drive that has failed.
If you do not feel comfortable with partially disassembling your computer, to do some "part-swapping" to try to determine which component has failed, you have two options:
- if your HP computer is less than 12 months old, contact HP Support to make a claim against the warranty, to get it repaired/replaced, at HP's expense;
- otherwise, take it a local owner/operator computer store. That business depends on doing good work, and getting good worth-of-mouth, and YELP-reviews, to keep open.
Be alert for scammers posting fake support phone numbers and/or email addresses on the community.
