Image shipped HDD to SSD and boot from SSD

Envy 750-427c
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I recently bought ENVY 750-427c which shipped with 1TB of HDD. The desktop uses UEFI secure boot and uses EFI partition on primary HDD to boot. I have a 500GB spare SSD which I would like to use as the primary drive.

When Win 10 installed on the SSD, the EFI on primary HDD is still used for loading the Windows Boot Manager. Is there a way to migrate EFI boot on HDD to the new SSD, so that I can use HDD only as a storage drive and even potentially remove/replace it?

Start over, by using "disk-cloning" software to copy from the current disk-drive to the SSD.

That software will let you "resize" the partitions, under the assumption that half of the 1TB disk-drive is "unallocated" disk-space.

It might be good to run Disk Defragmenter, to help move all the files on the original disk-drive to the "first-half" of the 1TB disk-drive, and to move all the unallocated space to the "end" of the 1TB disk-drive, before starting the cloning.

It will copy all the partitions, including the UEFI boot partition.

Disconnect the "old", connect the "new", and you're done.
