Hi @Lp107,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with your HP Pavilion X360 Convertible Laptop. There are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve this problem.

  • Power cycle: Disconnect the power adapter and remove the battery (if possible). Then, press and hold the power button for about 15-20 seconds. Afterward, plug in the power adapter (without the battery) and try turning on the laptop.
  • Check power connections: Ensure that the power adapter is properly connected to both the laptop and a working power source. Try using a different power outlet or power adapter to rule out any issues with the power supply.
  • Reset BIOS: Sometimes, resetting the BIOS settings can help resolve power-related issues. To do this, turn off the laptop, then press the power button and repeatedly tap the F10 key or the specific key mentioned during startup to enter the BIOS settings. Once in the BIOS, locate the option to "Restore Defaults" or "Reset BIOS Settings," then save and exit the BIOS. Try turning on the laptop again.
  • Memory reseating: In some cases, memory modules can become loose, causing power issues. Open the laptop's access panel to locate the RAM modules. Carefully remove them from their slots and then reseat them firmly. Make sure they are properly aligned and securely in place.
  • Hardware diagnostics: HP laptops usually have built-in hardware diagnostic tools. Press the power button and immediately start tapping the Esc key or the specific key mentioned during startup to access the diagnostic menu. From there, select the appropriate hardware tests, such as the system test or memory test, to check for any hardware problems that could be causing the issue.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
