Hi @CND0366GHN,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP laptop is stuck in a boot loop and displaying an "Automatic Repair" message, it indicates that there might be an issue with your operating system or the laptop's hardware. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem.

  • Power cycle your laptop: Disconnect the power adapter, remove the battery (if it's removable), and hold down the power button for about 15 seconds. Then, reinsert the battery (if applicable), connect the power adapter, and try turning on the laptop again.
  • Safe Mode: If the boot loop continues, try booting your laptop into Safe Mode. To access Safe Mode, power on your laptop and repeatedly press the F8 key until you see the Advanced Boot Options menu. From there, choose "Safe Mode" and see if the laptop boots properly. If it does, it suggests that a recently installed driver or software might be causing the issue.
  • System Restore: If you can successfully boot into Safe Mode, try performing a System Restore to revert your laptop's settings to a previous point in time when it was functioning correctly. Go to the Start menu, search for "System Restore," and follow the on-screen instructions.
  • Check hardware connections: Ensure that all hardware components such as the hard drive, RAM, and cables are properly connected. If you are comfortable doing so, you can open up the laptop and reseat the components to ensure a secure connection.
  • Run hardware diagnostics: Many HP laptops have built-in hardware diagnostic tools that can help identify any hardware-related issues. To access these tools, power on your laptop and repeatedly press the appropriate key (usually F2 or F10) to enter the BIOS or UEFI settings. Look for an option like "Diagnostics" or "Hardware Diagnostics" and run the tests.
  • Recovery or reinstall: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, you may need to perform a system recovery or reinstall your operating system. This will restore your laptop to its factory default settings. Be aware that this process will erase all data on your laptop, so it's essential to back up any important files before proceeding.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
