z240 work station tower T9U05PA
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I cant turn my z240 tower back on.

I can't find the beep code or fix

the power led light is flashing 6 times red slowly then 3 imes white quickly.

I've tried unlpugging replugging AC - unplugging and htting CMOS button (reset)

Holding power on 30 seconds then quick - a few other fixes mentioned along these lines

it's not doing anything, any ideas?

Hi

https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/bph07107

Is there a match?

Go to http://www.hp.com/go/techcenter/pcdiags . The HP PC Diagnostics home page is displayed.

OR

The closest I get is 5/3.
5.3  The embedded controller has timed out waiting for the BIOS.

Thank you for replying.

The link https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/bph07107 - is there a match - I came accross this last night and they did not work.

This I wasn't able to find but does seem most likely to be what is going on.

The closest I get is 5/3.
5.3  The embedded controller has timed out waiting for the BIOS.

I have no idea how to adress this though.

the z240 tower I have - the LED is flasing 6 times red 3 times white

it's a 6.3

not 5.3

I can't find 6.3 in and beep codes ....
