Lost password need to factory reset my hp envy, but I am not seeing a startup menu with system info

When trying to reset my laptop to factory settings,  password recovery not working. I do not see the expected menu I see a startup menu .. any ideas to get the other menu to reset my laptop

Well, this Forum can't assist with password recovery problems.

You're going to lose all data stored on the system drive if you reinstall Windows.

Have you tried selecting "F11" which is listed on the HP UEFI Startup Menu?

You could try a HP Cloud Recovery if you PC qualifies and you can't recover Windows using the Startup Menu "F11" option.

You could also do a clean Windows installation if your PC can't do a HP Cloud Recovery.

W10 USB installation media can be created on a different PC at this Microsoft Site.

W11 USB installation media can be created on a different PC at this Microsoft Site.

I have not got many files on my laptop. That's why I was not worried about doing a factory reset. I tried ESC  , F11 did not seem to work. But I did not get the menu where I could do a factory reset. I'll try F11 again, as sometimes  it doesn't work all the time.

The HP Cloud Recovery option should work if your PC qualifies and you can't do a system recovery using "F11".
