HP Pavilion HPE h8-1360t
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

This just happened yesterday and the machine seems to be dead.

When power on, the fan would be on for a few seconds, then off, then on. All while there is nothing on the screen.

I suspect that it is a power supply issue?

Oh, I tried to take out the old power supply, but after removing the back 4 screws, I still could not take it out. The manual does not show how to replace a power supply.

Thanks.

David

Greetings,

Welcome to the forum.

I am not a HP employee.

I believe there is a retention lever that must be depressed to remove the power supply. Worked on a h8-1380t which had this power supply lock mechanism.

I concur, your power supply may be in trouble.

Try a different power supply to confirm.

Regards
