Pavilion 570DT PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

We had a sudden loss of power, and when I turned my Pavillion 570 on . I got a message that said: Checking Media Presence

Media Present

Start PXE over IPv4 on a black

Then it goes to a blue screen that says  BOOT DEVICE NOT FOUND

Please install an operating system on your Hard drive

Hard Fisc -(3FO)

F2 System diagnostics

Sooooooo. I've read and tried what was suggested

Clicking F10 on startup  going to BOOT ORDER but which one do I choose?

USB FLOPPY/CD

USB HARD DRIVE

ATAPI CD/DVD DRIVE

UEFI: IPv4 REALTEK PCIe GBE FAMILY CONTROLLER

UEFI:IPv6 REALTEK PCIe GBE FAMILY CONTROLLER

Legacy boot scorces: DISABLED

So any suggestions short of buy a new computer?

Thanks

Mary

Hi,

The power disruption seems to have caused damage to the boot HDD or SSD.

Notice there is no UEFI SATA boot device available on your boot order list.

I would get a new replacement HDD or SSD.

You may have to reinstall the operating system or use HP factory recovery media to restore the operating system.

You will lose data if you have to reinstall Windows. Data may be recoverable on the bad drive. You could connect the bad drive to a different PC as a data drive to see if you can mount the disk for data recovery.

Regards
