Moving to JaPAN, form China can I just plug in my desktop?

Pavillion P6-2100
Microsoft Windows 8 (64-bit)

I've been using an HP desktop in Beijing for the last 6 years. I moved to Tokyo. I am afraid to plug it in a burn it up because the voltage here is 120 and in China, it was 220. Will it affect my computer?

Hi

The considerations are the Voltage, Frequency and Plug.

Is the Power Supply marked with Voltage values?  Like Input 100 - 240?

So cn you post a picture please?

Hi:

When I first moved to China, I plugged my computer in and blew the Power supply. This was about 5 ears ago and I did not recall the even until my wife told me she had indeed ordered a new supply for me. Sometimes you have one with a switch so it's easy to port to a different country. The new supply I got also was not switchable, that's the one that is on the computer now (see pic). Now, I'm in Japan and here the current is 110V, not 220V as in China. So, I'm destined to replaceHP Power Supply.jpg the supply again.

Hi

Yes a new / different PSU would be required.

And presumably a cable with the correct plug?
