My Computer crashed, now it boots up initially but then goes to white or black screen

HP ENVY 700-301nd Freezes up
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I was playing a game when I saw some glitches. I decided to restart the game, but the computer crashed with a green/yellow stripey screen, getting back to windows or task manager was not possible. I hard-restarted the computer and it wouldn't start up. The screen turned white (sometimes black) and freezes up. I am not sure if anything is happening in the background. I get the boot sequence initially and can run the tests. When performing a video memory fast-check, within not even a second, I get the Failure ID: PLHXSX-75W8S7-X87R7G-Q2SU03. HP's Failure ID-Decoder is not helping out (Check Sum: Failed). What could be the issue?

@Maarten1981

Thank you for joining HP Forums.

I'll be glad to help you 🙂

As I understand the computer crashed and went into a black & while screen with glitches and stripes, etc...

I'd like to thank you for the detailed description of your concern,

 as you have ensured I don't have to ask any more questions, that said, I'm glad you've performed the hardware test and since, it resulted with the failure ID,

I have successfully decoded the same and here's what the ID represents:

Graphics Memory Failure - C0B (Failure code)

You will need to get the graphics/video card replaced, You could purchase the part from HP, use the HP Parts surfer to identify the part: Click here & order it via the HP Parts store (Click here) or alternatively, Contact HP for setting up an order/service via phone support

HP Support can be reached by clicking on the following link:
