My HP Pavilion Desktop keeps turning off - I have 2 of these - both do the same thing.

Pavilion 22 b019
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Both desktops randomly turn off.  Happens every day at least 2 times - can be as often as 5 times a day.  Require power button to be pressed to turn on again.  No warning.

How new are the computers?  Is the HP Warranty still valid?  Have you contacted HP about the computers?

Do they turn-off while you are using them, or when they are idle?

Within "Settings", check the "power" settings -- the computers may be configured to automatically shutdown after NNN minutes of inactivity.

Are you using a power-bar with surge protection, or a UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) to send "smoothed" power to your computer?

Thanks for the fast response. The warranty was up in Dec.2017. They turn off whole we are using them. My power off setting was checked and should never shut down. I have a battery backup I plug the computers into. I also tried plugging directly into a different surge protector to make sure it wasn't the battery backup.

I haven't talked to a rep yet from hp

Have you run the HP Hardware Diagnostics on both computers?

Have you opened them up, to see if the fans are still working, i.e., not failed, causing overheating?

Is the room temperature quite warm?  Trying to a cool a computer in a hot room is problematic.
