My HP Pavilion p6232p will not power up. The Green LED Light in Back is on Steady.

Pavilion p6232p
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I followed the steps in the HP trouble shooting area. No Change.

@BubbaBill,

Good Day.  Thank you for posting your query in the HP community.  I read the post regarding issues with the computer not working or powering on. I will be delighted to assist you here.

Superb description and spectacular troubleshooting and commendable diagnosis of the issue before posting. Kudos to you for that. 🙂

To assist you with accurate information I would require more information regarding this:

  • Did this happen after changing your router or ISP?

It looks like a hardware issue with the desktop. For now, try these steps:

  • If you’ve tried the guided troubleshooter from here: http://hp.care/2F1XplA (HP PCs - No Power or No Boot Troubleshooting) and the issue persists, then contact a local Best Buy or Staples technician to get the computer fixed as the computer has a hardware issue.
  • Before that, you could try the steps mentioned in this link: http://hp.care/2yPPwZM
  • Then check if it gets fixed.
  • I am being honest about it by keeping your best interest in mind without beating around the bush.

If the computer is more than 3 years old then service options with HP are no longer available because the original suppliers and manufacturers who manufacture and supply the parts to HP to build and service the computer don't do so anymore

Please perform all these steps patiently as it is critical to resolving the issue. The trick is to remain patient.

Hope this helps. Let me know how it goes. To simply say thanks, please click the "Thumbs Up" button to give me a Kudos to appreciate my efforts to help. If this helps, please mark this as Accepted Solution as it will help several others with the same issue to get it resolved without hassles.

Take care and have a blessed week ahead. 🙂

Cheers!
