HI,

please go to http://www.pc-specs.com website , find your mobo on it and then find compatible GPUs with your mobo,

What is the other PC?  Motherboard ID? Year of production of the motherboard?

From: Software and driver results for: HP Z800 WorkstationHP Z800 Workstation

HP supplied (in 2009) device-drivers for Windows XP, and later Windows Vista and Windows 7.

How old is your Z800 computer?

It is possible that your motherboard is just "too old" to be compatible with the ATI graphics adapter.

you will be best served by posting in the workstation forum any HP z800 related questions

https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Business-PCs-Workstations-and-Point-of-Sale-Systems/bd-p/Business-PC-W...

the ATI card you have draws almost 400 watts by itself!!!!

unless you have the z800 optional 1200 watt power supply, you will not be able to use this card

the stock 800 watt supply, is a multi rail design (same for the 1200 watt supply) and the ati 7990 card is overloading the 12volt rail and i'm not sure the 1200 wattsupply can drive this card either
