The blue screen of death would be a welcome visitor. That would mean there was at least some brain activity.

TWICE my Hard Drive just disappears in the middle of working.

ever heard of that?

Unfortunately for me, I have experienced that symptom. The disk-drive is "failing" and needs to be replaced.

Try to copy all your Personal Files to an external "backup" device, before the disk-drive PERMANENTLY fails.
