My Omen doesn't start when powered through a UPS

Hello everyone,

I have quite a few power outages in my neighborhood so I tried powering my HP Omen desktop through a UPS. I have bought 3 different UPS sets and neither was accepted by my desktop. The last (and most expensive one) was (according to the spec sheets) a 1500VA pure sine wave battery backup, but still, my Omen wouldn't power up. The UPS would power up other electronic devices, but not my HO Omen desktop. Can anyone tell me what type of UPS I should buy to power my Omen?

Hi,

I have never seen this happen (have been using UPS for many, many years); so you are saying the Omen works when connected to the AC outlet but will not turn on when you connect the PC to an UPS.

I have connected PCs to underpowered UPS. The PC starts but the UPS warns (beeps) it cannot provide enough power to keep the system running offline for any length of time.

Are you connecting the PC to the correct outlet on the UPS?

I don't know what else to say.
