Hi,

Never thought about changing this setting. Preferred to have the PC shut down.

Also surprised that changing this setting would prevent using the power button to start the PC. This is highly unexpected to see changing a Windows setting would disable system startup using the power on button. Windows is not running when you start the PC??

Can only suggest removing the CR2032 MB battery when the PC is off and disconnected from AC Power. Let the PC sit for a few minutes. This should reset CMOS to factory condition.

Can't find anything showing how to reset the BIOS using a CMOS jumper on the MB.

You may need factory service if resetting CMOS does not fix the problem.
