My desktop tower and monitor won't turn on

EM890A
My computer tower blinks two green lights but they turn off immediately after I take my hand off the power button, and If I don't hold the power button down when I turn it on at the monitor it wont turn on at all. When my computer does show something on the screen it says monitor status and below it says "DVI: no signal & VGA: no signal" and disappears within seconds and shortly after a white box pops up saying "monitor going to sleep". I've tried everything from disconnecting the power and holding down power buttons and then reconnecting the power again, nothing is working. What do I do?
