Hello my auntie desktop needed a new hard drive so install one last night, but now the bioß can't see it. In getting this error:
Boot Device not Found
Please install an operating system on your hard disk.

Hi:
Sounds to me like you need to reinstall Windows on the hard drive.
You can make a bootable USB recovery drive using another Windows PC, and a 32 GB USB flash drive to create the recovery drive.

You can download the software from the Microsoft Store.

Since you have to use the software on another PC, you will need to enter the PC's product number in the tool's search window in order to proceed to make the recovery media.

So, if you select 'Skip,' nothing happens?
If so, then your other option is to make a bootable Windows 10 or W11 installation flash drive with the media creation tools from the links below for either operating system and clean install Windows.
After Windows has completed installing, you can install the drivers and available software from your PC's support page:
