Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

My laptop won't boot up. Did a hard drive test. Failure code: 608CXO-6QWA3U-RXJ2W1-60T403 appeared. Does anyone know what that indicates? And what will be my next step to repair?

Hi:

The error code translates to one word...Failed.

99% of the time you get one of those failure codes, you need to replace the hard drive and reinstall the operating system.

Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook, where you can find the hard drive removal and replacement procedure.

You will need to have a way to reinstall W7, because your notebook originally came with W8 64 bit from HP.
