@Dineshleni, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.
It seems like your laptop is encountering a configuration issue with Intel Rapid Storage Technology (RST) while trying to boot the OS from your SSD. Here are steps to troubleshoot and resolve this:
Access BIOS/UEFI Settings:
- Restart your laptop and press the appropriate key (usually F2, F10, Esc, or Del) during startup to enter the BIOS/UEFI settings.
Set SSD as the Primary Boot Device:
- Navigate to the Boot Options or Boot Order section in the BIOS.
- Locate the SSD in the list of bootable devices and move it to the top of the boot priority list.
- Save the changes and exit the BIOS (usually by pressing F10).
Disable Legacy Boot (if applicable):
- If your SSD is configured for UEFI, ensure Legacy Boot is disabled in the BIOS.
- Enable UEFI Boot to ensure compatibility with the SSD.
Check Boot Configuration:
- Boot into the Windows Recovery Environment using a USB recovery drive.
- Open the Command Prompt and run the following commands to repair the boot files:
bootrec /fixmbr
bootrec /fixboot
bootrec /scanos
bootrec /rebuildbcd
Verify Windows Installation on SSD:
- Ensure that Windows is installed on the SSD. If not, you may need to clone the OS from the HDD to the SSD using tools like Macrium Reflect or EaseUS Partition Master.
Disconnect the HDD Temporarily:
- If the system still boots from the HDD, disconnect it temporarily and boot with only the SSD connected.
- Once the SSD boots successfully, reconnect the HDD and format it for storage if needed.
