Posting here to get help as I’m in a desperate Japan. 

I purchased my Omen Notebook around 10 weeks ago at a Sofmap outlet in Japan. Note it’s a factory second and not a second hand device with a one year manufacturer warranty. 

Now unfortunately, I’m facing the dreaded black screen issue. Fans are spinning but there is no display (keyboard backlights turn on). I have tried the troubleshooting methods available to no success. 

Now I’ve tried to raise a case for to dispute the warranty information (and subsequently request a repair) by providing my proof of purchase. I haven’t received a response in 5 days so I tried to reach out via WhatsApp. I was then transferred to another team (because the receipt was in Japanese) and shocked when my ticket was suddenly closed with no resolution. Still no response via chat. 

I’m currently in Japan and none of the support channels (Line, virtual agent) seems to work. 

 

not that HP cares, but I do use this laptop for my business (hence why I’m reaching out to the community for suggestions.
