HP Omen 880
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Put in a new graphics card which is the GTX 1070 and tried booting but all I got was a blank screen, I also noticed my DJ controller which was connected via USB was flashing like it had some sort of error, anyway I turned off the PC for a few seconds and then tried booting it again, now they is no power.

To work round this i've tried removing the graphics card and tried booting again, still the same issue.

I've changed the battery in the PC as they was a small chance it could be this but its not.

I've tested the PSU using the green to black method and this works with no issue, but doesn't work when connected to the motherboard. The light is showing a solid green on the back.

I've also tried disconnecting all wires on the motherboard with PSU only connected, this didn't work.

What are the recommended next steps and if they is a fault for example either the motherboard or CPU would I be able to take out warranty for HP to fix this?

@AidySmith It looks like the device is malfunctioning, either the CPU or the motherboard isn't working, as you've rightly mentioned and I suggest you talk to HP support and discuss your options, follow the below steps to get started:

1) Click on this link - http://www.hp.com/contacthp/

2) Click on Sign-in or select the product using the below step:

3) Enter the serial of your device.

4) Select the country from the drop-down.

5) Click on "Show Options".

Fill the web-form, to populate a case number and phone number for yourself!

Also, if you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty, if yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from,

I put it in around a week ago to HP Care to fix as they wasn't the same type motherboard available unless I went down this route which in my opinion is very expensive but I hope its worth it.

Should be getting the tower back either later today or tomorrow.

Come back good as new which is great, but i'm a little confused regarding the warranty, is it for 3 months? Also been offered a HP care pack with 20% off?

@AidySmith Thats awesome, I'm glad its been sorted, and about the warranty, well that, could be an additional 3 months repair warranty, if something goes wrong with those 3 months, the device will be repaired free of charge, no questions asked, although, to be sure, check the paper work sent along.
