OMEN 30L GT13-0092
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi everyone,

I want to install Ubuntu to my newly purchased OMEN 30L GT13-0092. I was successfully install Ubuntu 20 on the 2TB default HDD. I installed with the default option to install along with Windows 10. That option installed Ubuntu to the 2TB default HDD. However, I was only able to boot to Ubuntu directly after the installation. I removed the 2TB HDD, and I was able to boot to the default windows 10 that installed in the M2 ssd. And now the problem is, I want to install Ubuntu on the M2 SSD. However, this time when I try to press any of the bios or reboot keys, F10, F12, F2, ESC or SHIFT, none of those keys bring me to the bios page or duel boot page. And I can't install Ubuntu now. I even added an additional SSD hard drive and mounted to SATA and partitioned it. I still can't get to bios during reboot. The system goes straight to Windows.

Any suggestions?

Thank you,

Heng

I'm sorry, but HP only warranties their PCs for usage with the OS that comes preinstalled.

IF you replace that with a Linux distro, or add a Linux distro, then you assume full responsibility for maintaining that -- including solving any problems with booting the other OS and/or installing the other OS.

Modern PCs with UEFI, instead of the older BIOS, are especially difficult to install because you have to go into the UEFI settings and make several changes before you can even boot from a USB stick -- and we are unable to assist in that work.

Your best bet for support now is to contact the support forum of the distro you are using.

Since you are using Ubuntu, go here: https://ubuntuforums.org/

Good Luck
