Pavilion All-In-One wont boot unless you disconnect/reconnect power first

Pavilion All-In-One 24-b040qe

As described in the heading, will not power up unless I first disconnect/reconnect it to the power source (essentially turning my power strip off and on)

This started about 3 days ago after a Windows update ... may be unrelated.

I have run HP Diagnostics with no resolution.

What the heck?

Hi

The first thing I would try is to uninstall any updates which may be causing this.

Disconnect from the network to stop reinstallation of the updates.

Test the PC for a while to see if the problem goes away.

A continuing problem suggests a possible power supply problem or a power switch problem which may be related to a motherboard problem.
