they did not contact me because I was not going to pay.  I am installing a new power supply and hope that works.

I am having the same issue and it started directly after an update from Windows 10.

The PC did the updated on its own (which I hate) and when it returned I had lost my internet. I then did a restore to previous build and restarted. Since then I can not turn my computer back on.

I have power and a solid green light at the back, no fan, no activity on my screen except for the mouse which moves around on the black screen.

I am trying to get the power supply unit and all I am getting is the 400W. Is this the right rating.

I shut down the PC  (click Start and then Shutdown) and then it's impossible to turn it on again. Whenever I want to turn it on I have to  disconnect the power cord from the back of the computer first. Then I reconnect the power cord and turn on the power.  This is the only way to turn on my PC.

I have to repeat this procedure several times every day.

@DesaA

I suggest you restore the BIOS back to Factory Defaults

  1. Turn off the computer and wait five seconds.

  2. Press the Power button to start the computer and repeatedly press the F10 key to enter the BIOS setup menu.

  3. On the BIOS Setup screen, press F9 to select and load the BIOS Setup Default settings.

  4. Press F10 to Save and Exit.

  5. Use the arrow keys to select Yes, then press Enter when asked Exit Saving Changes?

  6. Follow the prompts to restart your computer.

If the issue persists update the BIOS from this Link: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers

Keep me posted how it goes 😊
