Please see photos for the issues I am having, it won’t allow me to hard reset either.
first it was the hard disk error message so I tried changing some settings based on references I saw on HP’s website. Then it gave me the message Recovery: your PC needs to be repaired.
I did a memory quick check and it passed but when I did a hard drive diagnostic the smart check passed and the short DST failed. Please see photos below for reference.
It won’t allow me to do a hard reset. I’m at complete loss as to what to do.

This nearly always means the primary drive is failing, will need to be replaced, and Windows reinstalled on the PC.
