Hi @DIØ2009,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To locate the power pins on the F_Panel (Front Panel) of an HP Pavilion x360 Convertible Laptop PC 14, you'll need to follow these steps.

  • Access the Laptop Internals: First, you'll need to open the laptop’s case. This generally involves removing screws on the bottom panel. Make sure you power off the laptop and disconnect it from any power source before opening it.
  • Locate the F_Panel Connector: The F_Panel connector is usually a small, rectangular connector on the motherboard where the front panel cables connect. It typically includes pins for power, reset, and LEDs.
  • Identify the Power Pins: The power pins are usually labeled on the motherboard near the F_Panel connector. Look for labels like "PWR" or "POWER." If the labels are not visible, you may need to refer to the laptop's service manual or motherboard diagram.
  • Short the Power Pins: To short the power pins, you can use a small screwdriver or a metal tool to briefly connect the two pins. This action simulates pressing the power button and should force the laptop to turn on. Be cautious while doing this to avoid any damage to the motherboard.

Note: Shorting pins should be done carefully to avoid damaging components.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
