Help guys! I made the dumb mistake of turning off my cpu with the off button on the pc tower. When I tried to turn the cpu back on it would not. So I kept pressing and the CPU finally did and it displays but the power light next to the on/off button stayed off. I am worried my cpy will die, although it did ask me to go into recovery mode when it turned back o it seems to be working fine now.

Just to get the terms straight, you did not turn off the "CPU" because that is the processor chip; instead, you shut off the power to the tower -- and a shutoff like this corrupts Window so that, in many cases, it will not restart.

If it is working fine now, you are lucky as this is rarely the case.

Just be sure to NOT disconnect the power or turn it off that way in the future.  Use the shutdown option in the taskbar to turn it off.
