Hi

Sorry to inform you it appears the BIOS update has failed.

A bad BIOS update kills the motherboard. You probably need a new mainboard.

You will have to contact HP Support for assistance.

Power on but just a black screen

Hi

I agree with the above, but would try a recovery.

Mine is a laptop and a battery is involved, but these are things I would try....

WinKey +B + PWR for 1 - 2 seconds is supposed to start a BIOS repair, never needed to find out if it's true.

Unplug everything, battery out,  PRESS and HOLD power button for 20 seconds, wait 20 more, then PRESS and HOLD Power button for 10 -15 seconds is supposed to solve the Black Screen problem.

As they  are Lo-Cost/No-Cost possibilities, you can try them.

the alternative is a costly MainBoard.

Power on but just a black screen

Hi

It may be possible to recover from a bad BIOS update. Thanks CF4, for jogging my memory.

Will provide links to HP Support documents on how to do this. AIO's are classified as Desktops but the following links provide details for either a Desktop or a Notebook:

1. Desktop,

2. Notebook.

No success means you will have to contact HP.
