Re: 3 long beeps followed 4 short beeps and then says adapter not supported

HP Recommended
I have an Hp Pavillion ALL-IN-ONE and it was working fine. I powered off normally last night and today it is doing exactly what you described. Same beeps then the same message. Did you get it fixed? Mine is out of warranty.

Sounds like you are responding to a different thread.

This HP Support site lists BIOS error codes for PCs manufactured prior to 2010 through 2015 and beyond.

Check your PC's manufacturing date. Then pick the correct time frame at the above link.

You should be able to locate possible tips on what component is failing and how to fix the problem.

There is a 3:4 cadence for PCs manufactured after April 2015.

The solution is as follows:

Indicates potential power system failure.
  1. Reduce to minimum config (CPU, System board, PSU, 1 DIMM of memory) and isolate failed component.
  2. Reduce further if issue persists.
  3. Test known good PSU.
  4. Replace affected component.
  5. If unable to confirm source, replace CPU, System Board, PSU.
