Reboot Issue HP Compaq Elite 8300 (QV994AV)

HP Compaq Elite 8300 (QV994AV)
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

I own a HP Compaq Elite 8300 (QV994AV) and with a SSD bootdisk and Windows 8.1 (64 bits), it works very fine.

I encounter a problem however when I reboot the PC. Windows is shutting down neatly. But when the PC wants to start again, it hungs in de pre-boot (before de HP-sign is shown). De screen stays black. I need to switch off the PC and then to switch it on again, after that the boot of the PC starts (first de HP-sign is coming, than Windows in booting).

I reloaded the default BIOS-settings but that did not make any sense.

Shutting down Windows is no problem. Booting the PC de next morning is also no probleem. The issue is that the hardware seems to hung in a reboot.

What can be the problem? Do I need to updat the BIOS (as far as available)?

Thank you and best regards,
