Although the "physical" disk-drive seems to pass the "Short DST" and "Long DST" tests, it's possible that the "logical" file-system, recorded on the disk-drive, is damaged -- what the motherboard successfully reads from the first few blocks on the disk-drive does not match what is expected to have been read -- the actual data is "invalid".

Can you remove the disk-drive from your computer, and attach it as a secondary disk-drive in a desktop computer?

Then, when Windows is running on that desktop computer (booted-up from the primary disk-drive), can any of the files on the secondary disk-drive be read?
