I can't disable secure boot in the bios to install windows via legacy. I press for to disable efi, which it does, but the bios save and exit does not remain permanent as I need to reboot and select the boot USB via escape.
When windows tries to complete the boot write at the end it fails.
I checked the bios after a reboot and secure boot is disabled.
Thanx. Perhaps I must see if it will find the USB on its own without me doing the f9 boot device selection as I have to reboot.

Hi:
The HP 8200 Elite does not support secure boot, which is why there is no secure boot setting in the BIOS.
It only has a UEFI BIOS.
I had a very difficult time booting my 8200 Elite from a USB flash drive, so when installing an operating system, I use a DVD instead.
Another thing you can try is to use the free Rufus utility to transfer a W10 ISO file to the USB flash drive.
Rufus - Create bootable USB drives the easy way
Select the GPT partition scheme from the menu.
