HP Spectre x360 - 15-ch011dx

Hello i have a problem with a black screen hp spectre 2017 model, It loads and bottem left says Press esc key for start up menu. It then loads to another screen saying, "Boot device not found"

Please install operating system on your hard disk". 

Hard disk -(3F0) 

I have pressed f10 and tried to change my bios setting but no luck...

 

When i check system Diagnostics and check hard drive it says "There is no hard drive installed" 

The memorey test went ok?

 

Do i need to swap out any part Like my SSD? Please help thanks!

Edit: I have not swaped out anything since i got it in 2017.

Welcome to the HP Forum.

 

It sounds like the 256 GB NVME SSD has failed. Very unusual to see this.

 

You will have to replace this drive.

 

HP offers a W10 Cloud Recovery option for your PC to reinstall the factory operating system on the new SSD. You would need the product ID when creating the USB Cloud Recovery flash drive on a different PC. See instructions at the above link for further details.

 

You could try connecting the failing SSD to a different PC as a data drive and attempt to recover personal files.
