HP ProDesk 600 G1 Desktop Mini PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

On my HP ProDesk 600 G1 DM, every time I put the my pc into sleep mode, when woken up by keyboard and/or mouse or Wake on lan, the Windows 10 installation turns on, and then promptly shuts down the system. While suspending using Ubuntu, the issue still persists, but I am presented by a constant black screen and high CPU usage (fan noise ramps up to max). I have not tried reinstall either OS, but since it's persistent across both OSes, I kind of feel like it has to do with something in the BIOS or hardware. (I have tried to solve this issue according to other online forums but nothing worked.)

When most computers are powered-on, the POST (Power On Self Test) is immediately launched -- before you see anything on the monitor. Part of the POST process is to ramp-up the fan(s) to 100% speed, and 100% noise, and then to measure the temperature of the processor & the motherboard. If the temperatures are "normal", then the POST slows-down the fan(s).

So, there seems to be some failure during the POST, and the fans stay at 100%.  Sigh.
