PC sometimes goes to sleep if not used after 5-10 minutes, even though setting is for 1 hour. More importantly, if it is asleep for more than an hour, it will not wake up. It hangs on the welcome screen and I have to use the power button to shut down and then re-start it.
I've checked previous posts about this problem, and read the recommended solutions, and I've done all that. I have installed the most recent BIOS update (15.31.0.0); run a full Windows reinstall; and the HP Support assistant says my device is up-to-date. I have run out of options and the problem continues.
Anybody got something new that works?

Hi @rmrjr45,
Welcome to HP Support Community. This is a great place to post questions and find answers.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I see that you are facing issues with your OMEN 30L Desktop - GT13-0380t CTO wherein it goes in to sleep mode after 5-10 minutes and does not wake up if in sleep mode for more than one hour.
I suggest that you follow the steps listed below to reset the power settings to defaults.
1. In Windows, search for and open Power Options.
2. In the Choose or customize a power plan window, click Change plan settings next to the plan you want to change.
3. On the Change settings for the plan window, choose the display and sleep settings you want to use.
4. To change more power settings, click Change advanced power settings.
5. On the Advanced settings tab, and then click on the button "Restore plan defaults".
6. When done, click OK, then click Save changes.

Thank you for your response.
I had done this before, but I tried it again. It did not work. Although I was now able to log into Windows, when I got to the main Windows screen, everything froze again and I had to shut down the machine using the power button and restart it.
I was also a bit confused by your reply. You say to "choose the display and sleep settings you want to use", but in the Advanced Settings tab you say to select "Restore plan defaults". This wipes out the settings I've entered for display and sleep times.
