HI @HD651,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you want your computer to boot directly into Windows without displaying the boot options or requiring you to enter a password. Here's how you can achieve that:
1. Disable Fast Startup (Optional)
- Fast Startup can sometimes cause booting issues. You might consider disabling it.
- Go to Control Panel > Power Options.
- Click on "Choose what the power buttons do" on the left sidebar.
- Click on "Change settings that are currently unavailable."
- Uncheck "Turn on fast startup (recommended)".
- Save changes.
2. Configure Automatic Login
- This will allow Windows to automatically log in without requiring you to enter a password every time.
- Press Win + R to open the Run dialog.
- Type netplwiz and press Enter.
- In the User Accounts window that opens, uncheck the box that says "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer."
- Click Apply.
- Enter your password twice in the prompt that appears.
- Click OK.
3. Set Boot Order in BIOS/UEFI
- If you're still seeing boot options, you may need to adjust the boot order in your BIOS/UEFI settings.
- Restart your computer and enter the BIOS/UEFI settings. This is usually done by pressing a key like F2, F10, DEL, or ESC during boot.
- Navigate to the boot options or boot priority settings.
- Set the primary boot device to your primary hard drive where Windows is installed. Usually, this is listed as the model number of your hard drive.
- Save changes and exit the BIOS/UEFI.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
