TPM 2 availability and activation
07-04-2021 07:21 AM

i am using an HP Pavilion desktop s5260in 2009 product. while the unit is a fit case for windows 11 upgrade but for its TPM 2 availability. I am running the latest windows 10 pro 19043.1081 comfortably. I am not able to get the availability of TPM chip as i am not able or afraid to alter the bios settings. present bios is American Megatrends inc 5.14 dt 13/11/2009, SMbios version 2.5, embedded controlled version 255.255, bios mode Legacy, base board Pegatron corpn, Product eureka3 version 1.02, Processor INTEL(R)CORE(TM)2 Duo CPU E7500@2.93GHz. I am not a technocrat to explain more. On settings it is not showing TPM presence or a way to go for it. I am not sure if i use F9 for default settings it will work . Requst whether it is possible to add TPM 2 chip if it is not there and the correct chip model and number for me to procure and add and will it work. Actually a service personal was able to convert to from legacy to UEFI mode but system was not loading the os.. Request advice or to wait for actual roll out of windows 11 pro with reduced minimum requirements.

hi
I read that it would be more or less possible to add a module, but nothing concrete, nothing found for the moment
The security module, being generally integrated into the processor, there is no way to change this for many computers, incompatible processors!
The requirements for windows 11 may change, in the meantime avoid spending unnecessary money.

Attention
A bios update is not without risk!
Be aware that if you are offered to do so, it will be at your own risk, the computer may become unusable, think about it
