HP T620 thin client
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

Running approx 700 T620 machines in our office.

Have approx 30 - 40 machines that are randomly either;

Randomly shutting itself down,

Black screening and locking up.

Locking up/freezing when working on a document, no mouse or keyboard input accepted.

Unable to wake up after idle time out.

Only way to fix problem is for user to hard reboot PC.

Have re-imaged the machine, but problem recurrs again after a couple of days.

Have moved PC to another desk after re-image, problem recurrs, so not network related.

Have reset users profiles, without any change.

Have also imaged other machines and they have not faulted, so not the image.

Cheers

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

If you are unfamiliar with how the Forum's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.

Are they running at 100% Disk after startup?  That was the issue with 2 of the thin clients, still no resolution provided by hp.

Not running at 100%,

User could be working on it and it just shuts down.

other times is idle for 10 mins which activates screen saver, and unable to log back in. (no keyboard or mouse)

Other times they just lock up, (no keyboard or mouse).

I have the same problem.  Did you ever get a solution?

Thanks

Same question but with W10 powered T530's.

We run a Citrix Xenapp environment, with the latest Citrix client installed. The thinclients are configured to shut down as the Citrix session ends but they just randomly shut down when people are typing an e-mail or whatever.

We have about 200 thinclients, which mostly consist of W7 T520 (which don't have this problem), 30 or 40 W10 T520's and a handfull of W10 T530's. Only the W10 units have this problem, but not all of them it seems.
