Time bomb (35 boots) hidden in HP repair.

I had the same problem when I tried to turn on my NEW HP tower for the second time.  Long story short, there was something in an April Windows update that crashed certain HP machines.  HP has had it since 9/19 and I was to expect it yesterday, yet I have heard nothing from them regarding my tower.

It needs Windows reinstalled and I couldn't do it from a thumbdrive.  Just kept getting the crazy blue screen that I had a corrupt or missing boot file.

SCarter2018  -- welcome to this forum. You should have opened your own question, to describe your symptoms. Since this question has been "escalated" to HP, it's doubtful that anyone will try to help you, other than me.   :Glasses:

In your case, restart your computer, and launch the HP Hardware Diagnostics, and run the "short" (a few minutes) test against the RAM, and the "short" and "long" tests against the disk-drive, because bad RAM or a bad disk-drive can create strange symptoms.
