Hi

I just helped a different person with a similar problem. Please check this link for details.

The individual contacted HP Support.

HP Support tried to find the problem but could not.

HP is shipping a replacement system.

You may want to return this PC since it is brand new or contact HP Support.

Hi

You are welcome.

This is an identical HP replacement product with the same problem out of the box?

There is a hardware problem If you are taking this PC out of the box, turning it on, and then having this issue before you install anything on the HDD.

I would go with a different HP product similar to what you have now but not the same product number.

yes, identical product.

Hi

You will either have to accept this as normal or try a different HP product.

I would not want a new PC with a clean HP factory image (no additional user software installed) taking four minutes to load Windows.

Hi Purwoko_Edi10

Please see this HP Forum link for a possible solution to your problem.

Use Cortana or enter "msconfig".

Then select "System Configuration".

Select the Services tab.

Disable App Readiness.

Restart your PC.

The first time that a brand-new Windows 10 system is connected to the Internet, Windows Update will run in the "background", to download and install all the security-fixes that Microsoft issued after the date that the factory-installed copy of Windows was "frozen".

This consumes significant resources:

* network traffic -- depending on the speed of your Internet connection provided by your ISP,

* RAM -- less than 1 GB -- probably not noticeable if your computer has at least 4 GB of RAM,

* CPU -- up to 100% of one "core" -- probably not noticeable if your CPU is dual-core, triple-core (AMD), quad-core, or octo-core (Intel i7),

* disk-drive -- lots of input/output during the download, and more when installing each update.

So, if your disk-drive is not a SSD (Solid State Device), your computer will appear to be "slow", because the disk-drive can be very busy, and will become the "bottle-neck" limiter.

It is best to let that Windows Update process complete, and then reboot -- Windows will run much faster after the reboot.

Also, note that Microsoft issues Windows Update on the 2nd Tuesday of each month, namely September 12 -- just a few days after your purchase.  So, when Windows "calls home" after 10 AM Pacific on the 12th, there will be more updates to download & install.

Again, it's best to let Windows Update run, without disturbing it, as it processes that monthly update.

Reboot, and Windows will return to its "optimal" performance.

After all the above, please read other threads in this forum.  The "App Readiness" service needs to run after the reboot that follows a Windows Update, and this service seems to be the cause of the "black-screen-for-15-minutes".
